Just before
midnight
Before the clock
chimes
After the adults
have gone to bed
After they put
away the wine
Out come the
little folk
No bigger than my
hands
They glide down
from my window
And on my bed they
land
They run around my
room
Creating a ruckus
and a mess
I cannot bear to
end their fun
I’ll clean it
tomorrow, I guess
This is an unedited version of my poem. I plan on changing it, but if you have any suggestions, please comment below.
