Rome

There we were, exhausted after thirty hours on and off planes, unable to get into our accommodation for another two/three hours, and quite hungry. What sight we must have been.
Oh well. That’s just part of the experience.

Let me tell you some things about the Italians…

They drive on the wrong side of the road
 In tiny cars
 Down tiny streets
ok, so maybe this wasn't a street.
close enough.

They have teeny, weeny coffee cups
They have the world’s biggest pizza plates

  They are REALLY good painters
And sculptures
Piazza Navona, just down the street

see, the roads are tiny!

they like gelati

a lot

and anyone who has been to Rome, and did not meet anyone else calling out
"umbrelli, umbrelli" or "half price, half price"
you need an award.

oh, and just in case you didn't notice,
they are driving on the wrong side of the road.

well, the rest of Rome will have to wait.
I have to get on with my science.

bye bye
(for now)

How *very* neat that you got to go to Rome! Susannah will especially be jealous, hehe! ;) I love the tiny roads, though I don't think I would love driving on them :) And I think I would eat gelato every day if I went to Italy :D

Chantelle, Rosie, and Leanne Thanks! these were the (some) of the best photos I took!!
and Jessica,
I hope Susannah isn't too jealous! thankfully we didn't have a car in Rome or Paris! and yes - you would have to eat gelato every day - we did!
Love Sararose xox
